intending murderers respectively.

It is a matter of import to get more evidence

such as printed matter, codes, letters, etc., in this

connection I beg to solicit your cooperation, also,

eventually for a prosecution in law, when there is

evidence of sufficiently incriminating nature. I

have got the impression that people like the pro-

prietors of the Loong Fong Kongsie, No.1, Connaught Road, West (Praya), amongst others Mr. Lim Soe Oen

(Lim Su On) and Mr. W. Chow, have been plotting in

Hong Kong in connection with the contemplated murders

of the Governor General and the Attorney General.

The communist movement comprises the overthrow

of Governments, not established in accordance with their

doctrines, and the intended crimes are only the means to

the end. The matter concerns the British Government as

well as the Netherland Government. In this connection I

beg to refer you to a certain passage in my letter to the Captain Superintendent, assuring you of my cooperation:

I would greatly appreciate it, if you could see your way to have the premises of the Loong Tong Company most thoroughly searched at a moment, most unsuspected by the

owners. I consider the search of the persons, found on

the premises a matter of great necessity; further safes. etc.. In a place in Java e.g. they keep important

literature in a safe and besides there is a door in the

safe leading to an underground munition factory.

So it

is necessary to look for secret hiding places. I apologize for being so explicit, knowing very well that the Police, when instructed to make the search, will be very thorough. But I sooner give you too much than too little information.

I beg you to note, Sir, that anything that the Hong

Kong
